  • Day 01 – Santiago

    Arrive in Santiago. Upon arrival, be met by your representative and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Meals included: Nil.

    Day 02 – Santiago

    Arrival at the city of Punta Arenas and be met by Antarctica XXI staff, to be transferred to Hotel Rey Don Felipe. During the afternoon, receive instructions concerning the guidelines that should be followed in Antarctica and the procedures for Zodiac boat embarkation and disembarkation. Later, enjoy our welcome dinner at the José Nogueira Hotel, a French-style mansion over one hundred years old.

    Day 03 – Punta Arenas / King George Island

    quick 2-hour flight from Punta Arenas lands on King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. En route, from your bird’s eye view, bid the Drake Passage a fond Bon Voyage. You’ve saved time and worry by choosing this Fly and Cruise expedition operated by Antarctica XXI.

    After exploring that portion of the island where the Chilean Research Base, Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva and the Russian Base, Bellingshausen, are located, you transfer to Ocean Nova by Zodiac to embark on your Antarctic adventure.

    Days 04 – 07 – Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands

    History, wildlife, scenery – Antarctica has it all. A shipboard presentation will recount the development of the region, pointing out the remains of buildings where explorers subsisted on hope and blubber. The Expedition Team could take you ashore at Neko Harbour and help you identify different species of birds. Cruise through fantastically colored icebergs.

    Day 08 – King George Island / Punta Arenas

    From King George Island, fly across the Drake Passage to Punta Arenas. Be transferred from the airport to your hotel to spend the night.

    Day 9 – Punta Arenas / Santiago

    Transfer to airport for flight to Santiago. Arrive Santiago, be met and transferred to your hotel. Day at leisure to explore the city of Santiago.

    Day 10 – Santiago

    Enjoy a full day tour in Santiago to Valpraiso and Viña del Mar (depending on flight schedule). Evening, transfer to airport for flight back home.
