  • Day 01 – Bogota

    Arrival to Bogota. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Meals included: Nil.

    Day 02 – Bogota

    Today you will start your journey to the town of Zipaquira located around an hour away from the city. During the tour by the north area of the city, we will be able to see large urban areas highlighting the most innovative and cosmopolitan architecture, leaving the urban sector, the rural landscape offers a wide range of greens. After passing through some villages, dating from the pre-Columbian era, we arrive to Zipaquira town, where the Cathedral of Salt is located. In order to get into the Cathedral, it is necessary to go down through an old tunnel that ends up in the temple, which has been built in the ancient caves of the salt mine. Inside this place, figurative and abstract images emerge and give the place a magical sense of sacredness. At the end of the visit, we head for a typical lunch.  Return to Bogota.

    Transfer to the historic center of the city to visit the Plaza de Bolivar and its surroundings with emblematic buildings such as the Capitolio Nacional, La Casa de Los Comuneros considered as the oldest house in the square and the Catedral Primada, then we visit the Museo del Oro, a place with one of the most impressive collections of pre-Columbian metallurgy in the world, the tour of the historic sector ends with the visit to the Museum House “Quinta de Bolivar,” museum that displays some items related to Simon Bolivar and leafy gardens with some trees that according to the tradition, have origin since Bolivar times.

    After visiting the Museum House we continue to the Cerro de Monserrate located at 3,200 meters (10,400 ft) above sea level, we climb to the summit by cable car; by reaching the top of the hill we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city and a visit to the Santuario Catolico. (Museums are closed on Monday).Return to your hotel.

    Day 03 – Bogota to Santa Marta

    Transfer to the airport to take the morning flight to Santa Marta. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Day 04 – Santa Marta

    In the morning head to Cañaveral, the principal entrance to Tayrona Park to start an hour-long hike to Arrecifes, one of the most exclusive parts of the National Park where the sea forms a “natural swimming pool” and is perfect for a refreshing swim. This tour is considered an ecological tour perfect for appreciating nature.

    Day 05 – Santa Marta

    Day at leisure. Spend your day either discovering more of this colonial city or enjoying the many white beaches.

    Day 06 – Santa Marta to Cartagena

    At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cartagena. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day at Leisure.

    Day 07 – Cartagena

    Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, meet with our representative at the hotel and start the visit to the colonial historical center of Cartagena, visiting the Plaza de Santo Domingo, Plaza de la Aduana, the Clock Tower and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the fortifications and defenses which have given character to the city for more than three hundred years. Leaving the historical center, we get to the Cerro de la Popa where the old church and convent of the Augustinians are located, it is possible to have a panoramic view of the city, the tour culminates with a visit to the Fort “Castillo de San Felipe“. Return to the hotel.

    Day 08 – Cartagena

    In the morning, we will transfer to the dock for a visit to El Rosario Islands, leaving to the south of the bay of Cartagena. These islands are considered a National Park with a complex coral bank populated with a great variety of fauna of the reef: Opportunity for swimming and snorkeling. Full day tour Majagua Island with typical lunch included. Return to Cartagena and transfer back to your hotel.

    Day 09 – Cartagena to Leticia

    At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Leticia. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, depart for city tour of main cultural attractions of Leticia. Return to your hotel for overnight and dinner.

    Meals included: Breakfast and Lunch.

    Day 10 – Leticia to Puerto Nariño

    Departure from Leticia in share public boat to Puerto Nariño, on the way, we will visit the Island de los Micos, observing primates. Continue to Puerto Nariño, check into your hotel. After lunch,walk through the village and in the evening the possibility of observing nocturnal animals and hear the sounds of the jungle. Return to your hotel for overnight and dinner.

    Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    Day 11 – Amazonas

    Depart by the River Loretoyacu to the community of San Juan del Soco or similar. Visit the lakes of Tarapoto, possibility of observing pink and gray dolphins, birds and artisanal fisheries. Stop for a typical local lunch, view the sunset and return to your hotel for overnight and dinner.

    Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    Day 12 – Amazonas to Leticia

    Departure by shared boat to Leticia and transfer to airport for your flight to the next destination.

    Meals included: Breakfast.
