  • Day 01 – Bogota

    Arrival to Bogota. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Meals included: Nil.

    Day 02 – Bogota

    Meet and greet at the respective hotel and transfer to the historic center of the city to visit the Plaza de Bolivar and its surroundings with emblematic buildings such as the Capitolio Nacional, La Casa de Los Comuneros, considered as the oldest house in the square and the Cathedral Primada, then we will visit the Museo del Oro, a place with one of the most impressive collections of pre-Columbian metallurgy in the world, the tour of the historic sector ends with the visit to the Museum House “Quinta de Bolivar,” museum that displays some items related to Simon Bolivar and leafy gardens with some trees that according to the tradition, have origin since Bolivar times.

    After visiting the Museum House, we continue to the Cerro de Monserrate located at 3,200 meters (10,400 ft) above sea level, we climb to the summit by cable car; by reaching the top of the hill we will enjoy a panoramic view of the city and a visit to the Santuario Catolico. (Museums are closed on Monday). Return to the hotel.

    Day 03 – Bogota to Villa de Levya

    Today you will depart the modern bustling capital and drive northward in the “colonial heartland,” to the charming town of Villa de Leyva. We visit the underground Salt Cathedral at Zipaquira, built 600 feet within a salt mine with 14 small chapels representing the stations of the cross – it is one of the most unique underground constructions ever found. The Salt Cathedral built inside a salt mine with its figurative and abstract images, give the place a sense of sacredness.

    We will continue to the north, passing by important national monuments like “el Puente de Boyaca” (Bridge) where Simon Bolivar defeated the Spanish army on August 07, 1819 (The Battle of Boyaca), gaining the country’s independence. Continue on to Tunja, founded in 1539, considered a very historical rich city with various museums, churches and convents. A lunch stop will be made before heading to Leyva. Arrival and lodging at your hotel.

    Day 04 – Villa de Levya to Bogota

    In the morning, will begin our journey back to Bogota, with an en-route visit to a nearby beautiful town of Raquira “home” to local artisans, producing some of the country’s best earthenware pottery. Arrival to Bogota and transfer to your hotel.

    Day 05 – Bogota to Pereira

    Transfer to the airport to take the morning flight to the coffee region of Pereira. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

    Day 06 – Pereira

    At the agreed time, meet at your hotel and transfer to the most amazing coffee scenery until we reach Caldas where Hacienda Venecia (coffee farm) stands. The coffee produced here is of high export quality. On this guided tour, learn how the coffee is collected, roasted, and prepared. Learn to identify the quality of the product and the different types in the world.

    After the coffee farm, transfer to the botanical garden and the house of butterflies. This botanical garden offers its visitors an amazing butterfly’s house where more than 1,200 butterflies of different species fly around you. Enjoy more than 13 acres of natural forest with more than 600 different plant species. Includes entrance to the botanical garden and guidance. Return to your hotel.

    Day 07 – Pereira

    Full day tour with bilingual guide, transfer through the most beautiful scenery until you reach the Cocora Valley – home of the Wax Palm Colombia’s National Tree. Once you arrive, enjoy a traditional Colombian beverage “canelazo”, visit the fog woods where you will enjoy the biodiversity of the reserve. Learn about the Wax Palm and learn about its ritual. See the trout breeding place and before you leave, enjoy lunch. Continue the day to Salento Quindio, enjoy the colonial architecture, visit the Bolivar Square and the handicrafts workshops. Return to your hotel.

    Day 08 – Pereira to Cartagena

    At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cartagena. Be met by our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Day 09 – Cartagena

    Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, meet with our representative at the hotel and start the visit to the colonial historical center of Cartagena, visiting the Plaza de Santo Domingo, Plaza de la Aduana, the Clock Tower and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the fortifications and defenses which have given character to the city for more than three hundred years. Leaving the historical center, we get to the Cerro de la Popa where the old church and convent of the Augustinians are located, it is possible to have a panoramic view of the city, the tour culminates with a visit to the Fort “Castillo de San Felipe“. Return to the hotel.

    Day 10 – Cartagena

    In the morning, we will transfer to the dock for a visit to El Rosario Islands, leaving to the south of the bay of Cartagena. These islands are considered a National Park with a complex coral bank populated with a great variety of fauna of the reef: Opportunity for swimming and snorkeling. Full day tour Majagua Island with typical lunch included. Return to Cartagena and transfer back to your hotel.

    Day 11 – Cartagena

    At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to next destination.

      Tour around the Island to enjoy its beautiful seascapes and places of greatest interest, such as Morgan’s Cave, the Blow Hole, South Bay Beach and San Luís.

      Day at leisure to enjoy the beaches of the island and sightseeing on your own.

      Day 15 – San Andres

      At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to next destination.
