Enjoy the scenic Rift Valley route along the way and arrive in time for lunch at the Kigio Wildlife Camp or Malewa Wildlife Lodge where you are booked in on full board basis for 2 nights. You will check in, enjoy a delicious meal and unwind before dinner. Take the time to relax, or join an escorted nature walk. Dinner and overnight.

The Kigio Wildlife Conservancy is 3,500 acres of pristine wilderness between Naivasha and Nakuru dedicated to preservation of over 100 indigenous plant species, 200 birds and 40 mammals including the endangered Rothschild giraffe.

Kigio Wildlife Camp is a superb all-suite camp surrounded by beautiful Yellow-fever tree woodland overlooking the Malewa River. The camp is constructed in an environmentally friendly way from sustainable pine-wood, local earth from the conservancy, traditional thatch provided by the surrounding community and canvas panels – there has been minimal usage of cement and steel and the environment has been carefully preserved during its construction.

The striking Malewa Wildlife Lodge is set within glorious Yellow-fever tree woodland along the Malewa River which attracts over 250 species of exotic birds. Once a rudimentary lodge, it has been transformed into a stunning ecolodge incorporating a dramatic architectural style and traditional African building methods and concepts.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    Day 4 – Lake Nakuru

Wake up to the quiet sounds of nature and enjoy your morning breakfast. You will be provided with a packed picnic lunch to take with you as you head out to the Lake Nakuru National Park for a full day of game viewing in this wonderful and unique park. You will stop at a site to enjoy your picnic lunch and continue on an afternoon game drive. You will then return to Kigio Conservancy for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru National Park was set up in 1960 to protect the flamingos and other birds in the plains and hills surrounding the lake. Its accessibility and close proximity to Nairobi (only 140 km to the South East) makes it one of the most frequented National Parks – popular with Kenyans and tourists alike. The higher areas of the park are forested, while the lake itself is surrounded with enormous white crusts of salt, some with areas of up to 40 sq km. The warm alkaline waters encourage unusual blue – green algae to flourish and it is this abundant food source that attracts hundreds of thousands of pink flamingos to the lake making it an amazing sight at certain times of the year.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    Day 5 – Masai Mara

After breakfast, check out and transfer by road to Ol Kinyei Conservancy, arriving for lunch at Porini Mara Camp where you stay for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle with an evening sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive back to camp for dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.

Spend a full day on a game drive with the Porini Mara Camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle in the Masai Mara Game Reserve with picnic lunch, returning to the camp in the evening. Overnight at Porini Mara Camp.

The Masai Mara National Game Reserve is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries and punctuated by marshes and forests. This reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere considering its size. During the seasonal migrations, the reserve is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebra that move into the area from the neighbouring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “Big Five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal, and the rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles.
