  • Day 01 – Vientiane

    Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to your hotel. Day at leisure.

    Day 02 – Vientiane / Luang Prabang

    Visit the fascinating local market of Thongkhankham. We then proceed to tour Vientiane starting with the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. On the way to visit That Luang stupa, Lao’s national heritage, you would pass by the imposing Patuxay Monument, Vientiane’s version of Arc de Triumph. Enjoy a relaxing lunch by the Mekong River before transferring to the airport to Luang Prabang.

    At Luang Prabang, do not miss out the night market tonight!

    Day 03 – Luang Prabang

    We begin our walking tour, taking in Luang Prabang’s beautiful architecture, to Wat Xieng Thong, the city’s most magnificent temple. We catch a traditional long-tailed boat up the Mekong River to explore Pak Ou Cave, stuffed with Buddha images. Alternatively (Optional Tour), you may choose to explore Luang Prabang countryside by bike and enjoy a relaxing lunch soaked in the rainforest next to the Nam Khan River or visit the elephant village encountering the protected beautiful animals.

    Return to Luang Prabang by car via Ban Nongxai and visit a silversmith workshop. As the day wanes, ascend Mt Phousy for a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding landscape. You may also wish to stop by and visit the excellent Arts and Ethnology Centre. Do not miss out the night market tonight!

    Day 04 – Luang Prabang

    Morning visit Wat Visoun, known as the “water melon stupa” due to its shape followed by the Royal Palace Museum. Drive through scenic countryside to Kuangsi Waterfall, where you may want to have a swim. The rest of the evening is free at leisure or if you wish, we can arrange for a traditional baci ceremony.

    Day 05 – Luang Prabang

    At dawn, you may want to join in the local ritual of offering alms to the monks on their morning walk. Drop by the local morning market before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Then, transfer to the airport for your flight.

    Alternatively, choose to spend another day in Luang Prabang and enjoy some of these recommended activities or laze around and do nothing!

    Cycle along green rice paddies and stop for tasty treats at villages specializing in local pottery crafts. Recommended for cyclist above 12 years old.
