  • Day 01 – Lima

    Arrival in Lima, meet at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Lima.

    Meals included: Nil.

    Day 02 – Lima to Paracas

    In the morning, we will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture. After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today. Departure on private transportation to Paracas. Overnight stay in Paracas.

    Day 03 – Paracas to Nazca

    Early in the morning we will embark on a boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. The “Chandelier” a giant figure marked in the sand in the style of the Nazca lines can also be seen on our way to the islands. On the islands you will be able to observe sea lions, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and other sea birds. Departure on private transportation to Nazca. Overnight stay in Nazca.

    Day 04 – Nazca to Arequipa

    In the morning, we will fly over the enigmatic Nazca Lines and will be able to distinguish more than 10 of their geoglyphs from the air. The first figure that we will make out will be the Whale, a great marine deity. Then, we will see the impressive Trapezoids, which measure approximately 2 miles long, and so we will continue to find various figures of animals and plants on the Peruvian desert. Without a doubt, an unforgettable experience from the sky. Departure on private transportation. Arrival in Arequipa at night. Overnight stay at Arequipa.

    Day 05 – Arequipa

    Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, the tour begins in the beautiful colonial quarter of San Lázaro, where Arequipa was founded; from here we will walk along the picturesque streets adorned with geraniums, and then we will head for the Carmen Alto viewpoint from where we will be able to admire the beautiful landscape of farming terraces and the three guardian volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Pichu-Picchu. We will then continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its church built in Andalusian style, and its viewpoint with is gorgeous architecture surrounded by pillar stone arches.  We will then visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, an impressive religious monument that had been closed to the public for nearly 400 years; its narrow streets, plazas and gardens remind us of the ancient districts of Seville or Granada.  Finally, we will head for the Main Square, where we will be able to see the Cathedral and the arches that surround the plaza, and then visit the Church of the Company of Jesus founded in the 17th century by the Jesuits, and which stands out for its cloisters and the famous Saint Ignacio Dome. Overnight stay in Arequipa.

    Day 06 – Arequipa to Colca

    We set off to the spectacular Colca Valley going up the foothills of Chachani volcano and admiring the Misti and Picchu Picchu Volcanoes. Then we cross the vicuñas reservation of Pampa Cañahuas where we can see them running free in the high Andean lands. Peculiar villages around us. We will stop for lunch on our way to the lodge. Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the lodge and the optional visit to the thermal baths in the area. Overnight stay in Colca Valley.

    Day 07 – Colca to Puno

    Early in the morning we will go to the Condor Cross viewpoint. Before us the shocking flight of the condors, huge Andean birds on the brink of extinction and symbol of the Andes Mountain Range. The view at this place allows us to appreciate the canyons depth, considered as one of the deepest in the world. We will then visit the Maca and Yanque towns which still keep the colonial churches. After lunch, we will start our return trip to the city of Puno on regular transportation. Overnight stay in Puno.

    Day 08 – Puno

    A full day tour to explore Lake Titicaca. First we will visit the Uros, the friendly inhabitants of these handmade islands made of totora reeds. Then it’s off to Taquile Island, a place in which the settlers still maintain their ancestral traditions and colorful typical clothes. A great opportunity to explore the island and get the best view of the lake. A typical lunch is provided in the island. Return to the city in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Puno.

    Day 09 – Puno to Cusco

    Departure on a tour bus to Cusco. On the way we’ll stop to visit the attractions this beautiful route has to offer.  Our first stop: the in site Pucara Museum and a chance to get one of the local classic bull shaped ceramics. Then it’s lunch time and the opportunity to see the view at La Raya, natural border between Puno and Cusco. We will continue our trip to Racchi, Temple of the Wiracocha god where the walls and narrow streets stand out. Before our final destination, we will stop at Andahuaylillas for a visit to its beautiful chapel. We will arrive in Cusco at the end of the afternoon. Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 10 – Cusco

    In the morning, we will get away from the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel full of colossal fortress surrounded by beautiful landscapes in complete communion with nature.  We will then continue to the Inca shrine of Q’enqo, with its awesome altar for sacrifices embedded in the side of the rock.  We will finally reach the Puca Pucara watchtower and Tambomachay, a monument of noticeable architectural excellence, considered one of the pillars of the Andean view of the world.

    In the afternoon, exclusive city tour that starts at San Cristobal Plaza to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.  We will then visit Saint Peter’s marker, where we will be able to appreciate the local flavors and learn about the local produce in this market where you can find everything and is the main supply center of the city.  We will then continue to the Koricancha Temple that will welcome us with its splendor.  The Golden Precinct is the meaning of its name in Quechua and we can still feel the sumptuousness of its walls that were once lined in gold sheets.  From Saint Blas, the craftsmen’s quarters, we will walk down along the Hatun Rumiyoc street, finding midway the Inca Roca Palace, today the Archbishop’s Palace; and we will have time to appreciate the worldwide famous Stone of the Twelve Angles.  We will go on to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral that houses invaluable colonial works of art. Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 11 – Cusco to Sacred Valley

    The Sacred Valley of the Incas will welcome us today. We will visit Awanacancha, a tourist complex where we will see and feed the Andean camelids such as the llamas and alpacas, and where the locals will show us the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. We will then continue to Inca and Colonial Pisac. Discover one of the most beautiful archeological sites in the Sacred Valley at the top of the mountain where you can have a view of the colonial town of Pisac. Walking tour of the Colonial town. Time to do some shopping at the handicraft market. We will continue to the Inkariy Museum where we will enjoy our lunch. We will visit this superb museum where the life of the pre-Hispanic Ancient Peru cultures are represented. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

    Day 12 – Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

    Our adventure continues exploring the less visited treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.  We will start in Moray where the view is awesome due to the colossal concentric terraces simulating an amphitheater. The purpose of it: to recreate 20 different types of microclimates, a measure that guaranteed the agricultural production of the empire.  After that, we will go to Maras, the famous and millenary salt mines from colonial times.  The contrast of the white wells and the green valley is awesome and a must for a spectacular snapshot of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.  Buffet lunch.  In the afternoon, we will visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo, where we will be able to learn about the technique with which the Incas worked the stones. In the afternoon, we will head towards Ollantaytambo train station.  We will arrive in Aguas Calientes where our trained staff will welcome and assist us on getting settled in one of the hotels in Aguas Calientes.

    Day 13 – Machu Pichu to Cusco

    We will board the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon.  The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco by train and will be transferred to the hotel.  Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 14 – Cusco to Lima

    Transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima. Arrival and assistance for the connection with the international flight.
