  • Day 01 – Lima

    Arrival in Lima, meet and greet by our representative who will assist you with luggage and will provide a brief city orientation and helpful information. Transfer to hotel.  For the evening we recommend an optional dinner in the classical La Rosa Nautica restaurant, a city icon, with Victorian décor and a beautiful view to the Pacific.  Overnight stay in Lima.

    Day 02 – Lima

    We will go sightseeing around the main streets, plazas and avenues of the city.  We will start at the Miraflores Love Park with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.  We will then have a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of the ancient Lima culture.  We will continue to the Main Square where we will find the Central Government Palace and the City Hall. We will visit the Cathedral and walk to Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.

    Gourmet lunch at the renowned Malabar restaurant.  Located in one of the best areas of San Isidro, Malabar offers a bit of everything: its walls full of information and art, its classical English style bar with curious items sitting on it. Everything indeed makes Malabar an interesting tourist attraction; not only the food is good, but also just coming is an interesting experience.  In the afternoon, assistance and transport available to tour the various art galleries and handicraft shops. The evening is free to enjoy the city and its incredible culinary delights Overnight stay in Lima.

    Day 03 – Lima to Cusco

    Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco.  Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the morning is free to get used to the altitude.  In the afternoon, we will have a walking tour to the most important sites of the magnificent and artistic district of Saint Blas, a mixture of Inca and Spanish culture. From San Blas, the artisans’s district, we will walk down Hatun Rumiyoc street finding on our way Inca Roca’s palace, today the Archbishop’s Palace; we will have time to admire the worldwide famous Stone of the Twelve Angles.  In the evening, we will enjoy a dinner at MAP Café, with the best of contemporary Peruvian haute cuisine located in the patio of the Pre-Columbian Art Museum.  Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 04 – Cusco

    In the morning we will visit the most outstanding sites of the magnificent center of Cusco, a mixture of Inca and Spanish culture.  Our first stop will be at Santo Domingo or the Koricancha (the Temple of Gold), a beautiful convent built on top of an Inca palace.  We will continue to the Cathedral to enjoy an impressive sample of architecture and paintings of the Cusco School.  Continuing with our immersion into the city, we will visit Sacsayhuaman; the spectacular constructions and surrounding landscape are a perfect mixture.  The adventure continues towards Q’enqo Sanctuary to appreciate the altar embedded in the rock.  We will finally reach the Puca Pucara viewpoint and Tambomachay, a striking architectonic monument considered one of the pillars of the Andean worldview.  Then it is time for lunch at Pachapapa restaurant which offers as a varied selection of Andean cuisine dishes as well as exquisite pizzas, calzones and other delicacies freshly baked in the wood ovens.  Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 05 – Sacred Valley

    This morning, we will depart to the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas where we will have an interesting seminar and demonstration of textiles in a local community, where we will be able to appreciate the main stages in this traditional activity. We will learn about, and possible gather, the dyeing plants and we will go on with the shearing and spinning of alpaca or sheep wool. Finally we will give a try to the final weaving process respecting the local iconography. The people in the community will be our local guides, happy to reveal us their cultural wealth and their traditions surrounded by marvelous landscapes. Time to enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by local hosts.

    After this unforgettable experience we will continue towards the traditional Pisac Market, where will be able to see what is offered by the picturesque vendors in the midst of a colorful atmosphere created by the ingredients that are the characteristic of the area and the nice handicrafts.  At dinner, we will be driven to the fantastic restaurant Wayra in Urubamba, where we will get rid of all our pretentions to conciliate our proposal with the awesome environment that surrounds us: the mountains, the popular art, mural paintings and an inspiring garden. Within this frame an exquisite luncheon will be organized combining the delights of the valley on the table with a show with the Peruvian horse and the marinera dance (this may vary depending on the day). Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

    Day 06 – Sacred Valley

    We will continue enjoying the main tourist attractions of the Sacred Valley.  This morning we will departs for Ollantaytambo, a picturesque village continuously inhabited since the Inca times, where we will visit the temple with the same name, used as a fortress during the Inca resistance and where we can get collection photos. For lunch we have thought of a special place, the Huayoccari Estate House, one of the best places after an active excursion to the valley.  The estate owners are the Lambarri Orihuela family, residents in the valley for over 350 years, who will be our hosts.  Let ourselves be dazzled by the architecture of the estate, its history and an impressive view over the Sacred Valley while the last touches to lunch are made.  After admiring the family’s private collection of local art, enjoy a meal prepared with fresh ingredients grown in the estate and served in the garden.  The rest of the afternoon is free to relax in the hotel facilities and make use of optional services, such as the spa.  Overnight stay in the Sacred Valley.

    Day 07 – Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu

    We will catch the train to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World.  We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our staff will assist us to catch the vehicle that will take us up by a meandering road that offers us a spectacular view of River Urubamba that shapes the famous canyon.  The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial rooms and urban areas.  The energy emanates from everywhere.  After a guided tour we will have time to explore the citadel and have a buffet lunch in the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge.  The rest of the day is free.  Dinner and overnight in Machu Picchu or Aguas Calientes.

    Day 08 – Machu Picchu to Cusco

    Morning free. Managing time as we please, we can optionally enjoy again the energy and mysticism of the citadel and do some activities like climbing up to Intipunku or the Sun Gate, the entrance to Machu Picchu from the Inca Trail, or the Huayna Picchu, where we can find the temple of the moon.  Really impressive. Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu are limited.  We suggest applying for the entrance tickets for later dates at the moment you book the whole tour program so as to avoid any complications due to congestions or lack of local availability.

    At the scheduled time, we will return by train and be transferred to the hotel.  Overnight stay in Cusco.

    Day 09 – Cusco to Puno

    We will depart early in the morning to Puno with guide and private transport.  On the way we will stop from time to time to visit the attractions on this route of scenic value.  Our first stop will be at Andahuaylillas, where we will visit its exquisite chapel.  We will then go on to Racchi, the Temple of god Wiracocha, which outstands for the huge walls and corridors of the precinct.  Our next stops will be to have lunch and enjoy the views at La Raya, the natural border between Cusco and Puno.  Before arriving at out final destination, we will visit the Pucara Site Museum. We shouldn´t miss the opportunity of buying one of the pottery bulls that are a classic of the place.  We will arrive in Puno late in the afternoon and we will settle in our hotel.  Overnight stay in Puno.

    Day 10 – Puno / Taquile and Uros

    We will have the full day to explore the mystic Lake Titicaca, origin of the Inca legend. First, we will begin with a short visit to the Uros community, where the friendly inhabitants will share their costumes with us and will show us how they live in artificial islands made of reed. We will then move on to Taquile Island where the people still preserve their ancestral traditions alive and their typical colorful clothes.  A great opportunity to explore the island and get the best views of the lake.  We will have lunch at the island.  In the afternoon we will return to the city.  In case we wish to enjoy a more intense interaction with the local culture and visit a more remote place, it is possible to replace the visit to Taquile by the Amantani Island (it is necessary to inform so when booking the services).  Overnight stay in Puno.

    Day 11 – Puno to Lima

    Time to say goodbye to Puno.  We will head to the Juliaca airport, but before we will visit on the way the pre-Inca cemetery of the Hatun Colla Chiefs in Sillustani, by the shores of Lake Umayo.  It’s famous for the funerary towers or Chullpas that measure up to 6 meter high.  Check-in for our flight to Lima.  Upon arrival, assistance at the airport for our international connection flight.
