  • Day 01 – Lima

    Arrival in Lima, meet our representative at the airport who will provide you with brief city orientation and helpful information. Transfer to your hotel.  Day at leisure. Overnight stay in Lima.

    Meals included: Nil.

    Day 02 – Lima

    Today, we will go sightseeing around the main streets, plazas and avenues of the city.  We will start at the Miraflores Love Park with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean.  We will then have a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of the ancient Lima culture.  We will continue to the Main Square where we will find the Central Government Palace and the City Hall.  We will visit the Cathedral and walk to Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.

    After that, Lima will surprise us with one of the best museums of the country.  We will visit the Larco Museum, an 18th century mansion built on top of a pre-Columbian pyramid of the 7th century. Outstanding are the pottery, gold objects and textiles, in addition to the most complete collection of erotic huacos and mummies of the Chavin, Chimu, Nazca and Inca cultures.  Overnight in Lima.

    Day 03 – Lima to Cusco

    Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco.  Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the morning is free to acclimatize to the altitude (Cusco is at 3,400m above sea level).

    In the afternoon, we will visit the most outstanding sites of the magnificent center of Cusco, a mixture of Inca and Spanish culture.  Our first stop will be at Saint Dominique or the Koricancha (the Temple of Gold), a beautiful convent built on top of an Inca palace.  We will continue to the Cathedral to enjoy an impressive sample of architecture and paintings of the Cusco School.  Continuing with our immersion into the city, we will visit Sacsayhuaman; the spectacular constructions and surrounding landscape are a perfect mixture.  The adventure continues towards Q’enqo Sanctuary to appreciate the altar embedded in the rock.  We will finally reach the Puca Pucara viewpoint and Tambomachay, a striking architectonic monument considered one of the pillars of the Andean worldview.  Overnight in Cusco.

    Day 04 – Cusco to Sacred Valley

    The Sacred Inca Valley welcomes us this day.  On the way we will stop at Awanacancha, a complex where we will be able to feed the Andean camelids, the llamas and alpacas, and also to chat with the local population who will show us their weaving and dyeing of their traditional textiles.  We will then go to the traditional Pisac Market where we will have free time to tour it and buy handicrafts. If you are in the mood of tasting something traditional, pass by the wood ovens and get some bread or empanadas.   We will have lunch at a local restaurant.  In the afternoon, we will go on to Ollantaytambo, a picturesque village continuously inhabited since the Inca times, where we will visit the temple with the same name, used as a fortress during the Inca resistance and where we can get collection photos.  Dinner and overnight in the Sacred Valley.

    Day 05 – Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Cusco

    We will catch the train to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World.  We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our staff will assist us to catch the vehicle that will take us up by a meandering road that offers us a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon.  The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial rooms and urban areas.  The energy emanates from everywhere.  After a guided tour we will have time to explore the citadel and have a lunch in one of the local restaurants.  At the scheduled time, we will catch the train back and be transferred to hotel.  Overnight in Cusco.

    Day 06 – Cusco – Lima – Iguazu

    Transfer to the Cusco airport to catch our flight to Lima.  Upon arrival, assistance at the airport to connect to our international flight to Iguazu.  We recommend the early morning flight.  Arrival, welcome and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Iguazu.

    Meals included: Breakfast.

    Day 07 – Iguazu

    Whole day excursion to the Argentinean Waterfalls, visiting the circuits of the Upper Trail, Lower Trail and the Devil´s Throat.  The tour includes the Ecological Rainforest Train trip.  Optionally you may combine adventure river trips.  Return to the hotel.  Overnight in Iguazu.

    Day 08 – Iguazu to Buenos Aires

    Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport to catch our flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel.  The rest of the day free for personal activities.  Overnight in Buenos Aires.

    Day 09 – Buenos Aires

    In the morning city tour of Buenos Aires.  The tour will let us discover all the magic of the Argentine capital.  It includes the Recoleta and Palermo districts with the beauty of its parks and buildings, the Colon Theater – one of the 5 most important theaters in the world, Plaza Mayo, the Cathedral, Mayo Avenue, the Congress and several important buildings of special architectural, historical and cultural value. The tour continues on to the Old San Telmo district, the aristocratic residential area until the end of the 19th century and Caminito street in La Boca.  There will be three stops (Recoleta, Plaza Mayo and Caminito).  Afternoon free.

    In the evening, tango show and dinner in a typical port tango establishment.  Return to the hotel.  Overnight in Buenos Aires.

    Day 10 – Buenos Aires

    Breakfast at the hotel.  We will spend the whole day learning about the Argentinean gaucho or cowboy.  We will learn about their culture and traditions, how to ride a horse; we will be able to participate in the activities the Gauchos perform in the Argentine Pampas.  In the afternoon, we will enjoy an argentine barbecue, accompanied with good wine, and for entertainment we will enjoy a folkloric show with colorful dances of the region.  Overnight in Buenos Aires.

    Day 11 – Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro

    Breakfast in the hotel.  At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for our flight to Rio de Janeiro.  Arrival, Assistance and transfer to the hotel.  Day at leisure and overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

    Meals included: Breakfast.

    Day 12 – Rio de Janeiro

    We will tour the city to spot the main attractions of the city.  We will visit the Sugar Loaf, known to be one of the most famous attractions of Rio de Janeiro.  We will tour the famous beaches up to Praia Vermelha in the Urca district, where a cable car will take us in two stages to the top of the Sugar Loaf.  This modern cable car will take us up to the mid-way station:  The Urca Mountain, where the gardens and viewpoint invite us to prolong our stay to enjoy the landscape before starting the second and last stage, the top of the Sugar Loaf located 94 mts. high, where the half moon of beaches of the Atlantic ocean appear in a single view.

    We will return to Praia Vermelha, and continue to the city center, crossing the beautiful Flamingo Park and ending with a visit to the New Cathedral.  We will then visit the Corcovado Christ the Redeemer, an attraction you can’t miss.  This tour shows us a sample of one of the three marvels of the world, the statue of the Christ the Redeemer that is 38 meters high. We will continue to the residential area of Laranjeiras and the attractive Cosme Velho up to the Corcovado train station where we ill board the chain train that in 15 minutes will take to the bottom of the statue on top of the mountain.  We will be 714 mts. high.  We will be able to admire the features of the sculpture with his arms wide open facing the awesome panorama of Rio de Janeiro; the beaches; the Guanabara Bay; building and bridges, disclosing a marvelous 360 degree panoramic view.

    Day 13 – Rio de Janeiro

    Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to do as you please. You could spend the day at the famous beaches –Ipanema or Copacabana or take a day trip to the island of Buzios.  Overnight in Rio de Janeiro.

    Day 14 – Rio de Janeiro

    Breakfast in the hotel. In due time, departure to the airport to catch your international flight to next destination.
