  • Day 01 – Ho Chi Minh City

    Day 02 – Ho Chi Minh City

    Today, you will visit former Presidential PalaceWar Museum followed by the architectural treats of French colonial Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office. Then, enjoy a cyclo ride and weave through the bustling streets and catch a glimpse of the city’s everyday life!

    In afternoon, head to Cholon, the city Chinatown and Thien Hau Pagoda – dedicated to the goddess of the Sea. Then, enjoy a cyclo ride and weave through the bustling streets and catch a glimpse of the city’s everyday life! This evening, watch the AO Show featuring acrobatic performances with imaginative visual creation.

    Day 03 – Ho Chi Minh City

    Rise early to visit Ben Thanh Market to see the sellers start their business. After breakfast, make a full day trip to Cu Chi Tunnel – an amazing complex system of underground tunnel constructed during the Vietnam War by the Vietcong and Tay Ninh with the interesting Caodai temple(Optional – For the active, a biking tour through the countryside to the tunnel can be arranged.)

    Day 04 – Ho Chi Minh City

    Drive 3 hours to Nha Man and set off on your cruise to Sa Dec. Get ashore to visit the Buddhist Nuns Monastery of Phuoc Hue. After a Vietnamese lunch, continue cruise along Long Xuyen, on the way you will see and discover unspoiled landscapes and daily life of the river people.

    From Long Xuyen, drive 1.5 hour through the countryside to Chau Doc.

    Note: This day is a join-in tour and transfer – 6 to 10 persons per group. Transfers by minibus and sampan cruising.

    Day 05 – Chau Doc

    This morning drive through the paddy fields to a traditional Khmer village and monastery. Continue to the mountain bastion of Tuc Duc, known as “$2 Million Hill”. Meet a war veteran, before exploring the maze of tunnels built within the mountain’s natural cave system.

    This afternoon, take a small paddle-powered boat through the river ways in the Tra Su nature reserve – a sanctuary for over 80 different species of birds. Enjoy a riverside picnic and finish with a climb to a breathtaking vantage point over the mangrove forests below.

    Day 06 – Chau Doc

    Today, cycle out to the local villages, where you will see fields busy with farmers and water buffaloes. Return to your hotel and a well-earned break!

    This afternoon cruise to a nearby Cham Village, continue passing along the Vinh Te Canal towards the iconic Sam Mountain. Finish with a cocktail at the beautiful Nui Sam Lodge, with spectacular sunset panoramic views of the countryside.

    Day 07 – Chau Doc – Phnom Penh

    Travel by speedboat across the Vietnam Cambodia border, on your way to Phnom Penh (5 hours). Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel to freshen up.

    This afternoon, visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. You can then opt to explore the shops and boutiques in Street 178 area or visit the small hill within the city, Wat Phnom and learn how the city got its name.

    Day 08 – Phnom Penh – Siem Reap

    A morning tour to understand the heart wrenching past of the country at Toul Sleng (S21), where only 7 survived from 1,000’s incarcerated. We then head to the National Museum, which houses the world’s foremost collection of Khmer art OR the markets of Phnom Penh, Russian Market or Central Market.

    Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap.

    Upon arrival, you will be met your guide and start the tour. Have your first taste of the Angkorian temples and explore the sprawling labyrinth of Banteay Kdei with its Hall of Dancing Girls. Drive through the forest and enjoy a boat ride in a traditional gondola at a peaceful area in the Angkor’s moat, the perfect stage to enjoy a late afternoon drink and watch the sunset over the water.

    Day 09 – Siem Reap

    Travel by road to Srah Srang and then to Ta Prohm, the temple made famous by Angelina Jolie of Tomb Raider before walking through the forest to the lightly visited temples of Ta Nei. Take a much needed break with a beautiful temple breakfast before ending the morning at Ta Keo temple, known as the “mountain with bronze peaks”.

    In the afternoon, continue by road to the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom and walk the uncommon trail to the Death Gate and explore other interesting temples like Terrace of the Leper KingPreah Palilay and the imposing Baphuon to finally reach Jayavarman’s state temple of Bayon.

    Catch a traditional Apsara Dance Performance and dinner at Raffles Hotel (available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only)

    Day 10 – Siem Reap

    A sunrise tour starts at pre-dawn to witness the breath-taking view of Angkor Wat temple, one of travel remaining great adventures before returning to your hotel for a late breakfast.

    Moving away from the temples, we travel out of the city to the floating villages of Kompong Khleang (depend on water levels) and have the opportunity to observe and interact with the locals. Enjoy a picnic-lunch on the lake, while absorbing the atmosphere of the locality. Before returning to the city, have a water blessing ceremony, believed to bring you good fortune for the journey ahead.

    Optional: Tonight, enjoy a unique destination dining a tour private country villa, situated in a beautiful and tranquil village accessible by boat. Catch local scene of the ox-carts returning from the fields, children washing their water buffalos, and workers planting and harvesting rice while your chef prepares your dinner.

    Day 11 – Siem Reap

    Spend the last morning exploring the Old and Central Markets for souvenir shopping or Psa Leu for an anything but touristy experience. Then visit Theam’s house, a collection of Cambodian art and craft.

    Transfer to the airport for your flight.
